The exclusive D-ECOPOWER system on select models, improves productivity and saves fuel.

An electronically controlled pump, closed-center main control valve and nine sensors electronically detect and control the precise amount of hydraulic oil required to perform a task. The hydraulic system output requirements are optimized with engine horsepower.

The resulting efficiency reduces fuel consumption and increases productivity substantially. Improved feedback through the controls results in an outstanding level of operator comfort and much smoother machine management.

SPC is implemented through two systems that work together to improve efficiency while maintaining productivity and is controlled by the ECU. SPC is activated by default and can be disengaged.

Variable speed control enhances fuel efficiency by reducing engine speed in the low load range to an appropriate level. It does this by detecting both the actual engine load and the operator’s activity during heavy-load operations.

Smart pump torque control reduces smoke and increases fuel efficiency by reducing unnecessary engine load through optimized control of pump torque in accordance with the engine torque.

Mechatronics Design works in conjunction with the engine control unit (ECU); monitoring and optimizing machine performance to increase productivity and reduce fuel consumption.

The system enables power and work operating modes, electronic control of fuel consumption, auto idle, hydraulic oil flow regulation and control, and machine diagnostics. It also improves control, allowing you to precisely place material and easily level the ground.

DEVELON Fleet Management is a standard feature on all -7 Series crawler excavator models, making it easy to remotely monitor and maintain your machine.

This powerful equipment diagnostic tool monitors the health, location and productivity of your DEVELON equipment from a user-friendly mobile app and website.

With DEVELON Fleet Management, you can help prevent theft with a geofencing feature, avoid unauthorized use of your machine, see when maintenance is due, customize alerts to your schedule, track oil pressure, operating temperature and more, and use data to train your team for maximum productivity.

The optional 360-degree all-around view monitoring (AVM) camera system displays a full view of the machine’s surroundings, giving you greater confidence when operating or positioning the machine in tight work areas.

The AVM camera system can be linked with optional ultrasonic detection sensors on select models for an additional level of awareness of objects behind the machine. You can set an audio alarm and be alerted when obstacles are close to the machine.

We prioritized operator comfort and productivity when designing the -7 Series excavator cab by including intuitive, easy-to-use controls, updated seating, generous floorspace for your feet and cab space for your legs, arms and head.

Automotive-style heat and air conditioning include high-capacity vents and convenient control from the Smart Touch display. Noise and vibration levels are low, while air conditioning and automatic climate control allow you to keep working for hours with less fatigue. Heating and air conditioning vents are repositioned to improve window defrosting performance.

The optional deluxe air-suspension seat in gray faux leather resists stains and delivers heating or cooling to provide a more comfortable temperature throughout the work seasons.

The seat includes two fans to cool the seat: one for the back and one for the bottom of the seat. Additional rear air nozzles move cool air to the back of the seat for improved temperature control and comfort

The user-friendly DEVELON Smart Touch screen, standard on all -7 Series crawler excavators, displays all important settings and information on one screen. From the easy-to-read touch screen, you can monitor critical machine functions and control machine settings, rearview camera, heating and cooling, radio, Bluetooth wireless technology and more. The multilingual touch screen offers English, Spanish, French and 22 additional languages.

The large cab provides an excellent viewing area through the front and side windows. When loading trucks or working overhead, the overhead window gives you great visibility above the machine. Narrow corner pillars, small window joints and a wiper mounted on the pillar — instead of on the glass surface — give you a better view.

A standard rearview camera provides an additional means to view the machine’s surroundings, helping increase productivity.
