Doosan heavy construction equipment on display during the 2021 World of Concrete show in Las Vegas.

World of Concrete returns to its normal winter schedule at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The show dates are January 18 to 20, 2022.

The annual trade show is regarded as one of the top construction shows and regularly attracts more than 60,000 registered attendees. Here’s what you can expect at this year’s show.

Iron on Display

One of the top attractions of World of Concrete is the equipment on display. In the earthmoving section, which is now in the new West Hall, you can see the newest introductions of both heavy and compact equipment.

Doosan Infracore North America will introduce three new machines at World of Concrete 2022. In its exhibit (W821), you can see the all-new wheel loaders, crawler excavators and mini excavators.

Step inside the exhibit and take a seat in the cab of a new machine. You’ll notice some big changes in the equipment, including enhanced visibility from the cab to the work area. Check out the new touch screen to see how easy it is to view the machine’s diagnostic information. All three new Doosan machines come standard with DoosanCONNECT Telematics.

Come Prepared

When you’re visiting equipment manufacturers like Doosan, be sure to bring some questions for the trade show exhibit workers — including when machines will be available and which attachments are compatible with the different machines.

Before you leave for the show, do your homework and find out who is exhibiting. While most of the equipment is in the same part of the exhibit hall, find out if any companies are conducting live demonstrations in an outdoor area. A variety of outdoor events are planned throughout the show, so check the schedule for event times.

A great way to brush up on the latest trends and what World of Concrete 2022 has in store is through the trade media. Whether you read their magazines or their websites, you can learn a lot about World of Concrete. Many publishers do a pre-show issue and provide highlights of what’s to come.

Wear Comfortable Shoes

Bring along a comfortable pair (or two) of shoes to wear on the trade show floor. Most of it is solid concrete, no pun intended, and it’s recommended that you wear something supportive. In other words, leave your dress shoes or brand-new shoes at home.

Bring a jacket if you plan to spend any time outside at the show or in the evening going to the many hotels, restaurants and attractions in Las Vegas. It can feel cold in mid-January, especially if you’re from a warm weather climate.

Stay Connected After the Show

If you’re interested in getting a quote or doing a machine demo, it’s recommended that you allow the exhibitor to scan your badge at the show. You can expect to be contacted after the show by the manufacturer or a local equipment dealer.

When you are contacted, be sure to let the company or person know exactly what you wanted from World of Concrete. Your local equipment dealer may need some additional details from you before being able to respond fully based on your interest.

You can also opt-in to receive additional information, such as email, from exhibitors. This is an ideal opportunity to stay in touch with a company you may be interested in purchasing equipment from. Doosan offers an e-newsletter with timely information to help with your purchase decisions. It’s also a good source for machine maintenance tips and technology updates.
Whether this is your first trip to World of Concrete or your 20th, make the most of your visit in 2022. Spend some time before you go preparing for the trade show. Get more information on Doosan at World of Concrete 2022: https://na.doosanequipment.com/en/world-of-concrete
