A Dealer Sales Representative Delivering Doosan Parts to a Customer.

Part of staying on top of your work game is, well, parts. Having access to the right machine components at the right time can stave off downtime, whether you’re a large contractor or a lean, one-person operation. But what your fleet’s parts strategy looks like may vary, depending on your business and your dealer.

Larger contractors are more likely to maintain their own stock of high-volume parts including filters and fluids as well as some belts and hoses, enabling their in-house service techs to quickly field repairs and maintenance on the spot. But for most, partnering with a local dealer for parts service is essential.

Here’s how your local Doosan dealer can keep your parts game up to par. Need to find your dealer? See our Doosan dealer locator.

DoosanCONNECT: Data-driven parts service

A solid parts strategy begins with DoosanCONNECT® telematics. A powerful telematics solution built into every Doosan machine, DoosanCONNECT monitors the health, location and productivity of Doosan equipment and makes that data available to your dealer to ensure that your machines need never miss a beat when it comes to parts service.1 By leveraging DoosanCONNECT data, dealers can track machine usage and predict parts needs for routine maintenance.

For example: As a machine with 450 hours of usage nears its necessary 500-hour service, a dealer can use DoosanCONNECT telematics to note the machine’s total hours. Seeing the machine has a utilization rate of 25 hours per week, the dealer can predict it will hit the 500-hour mark in two weeks. That dealer can then schedule the 500-hour maintenance in two weeks and make data-driven calls on which parts to take with them to service that machine in the field.

Planned Maintenance: Fixed parts costs, no surprises

Dealers can develop customized maintenance plans that can keep your equipment optimized in tip-top shape, heading off parts problems before they escalate into downtime.
Planned maintenance also helps predict fixed costs, giving you an estimate for replacement parts, services and maintenance for the length of the agreement. That means simpler budgeting for filters, oil, tracks, tires and other commonly replaced parts — and no surprises at the end of the fiscal year.

By efficiently scheduling service ahead of time, dealers can service machines at a time that doesn’t disrupt your work schedule. Service technicians can often service machines directly at the jobsite, nixing the downtime associated with hauling equipment to a facility.
